Geography Of Asia.

Among the total Continent in the world, Asia is the largest continent with an area of 44,579,000 square kilometers and the most populous Continent in the world. Among 

the total land area of the Earth 30% of it is covered by Asia and Total 8.7% of the Earth Surface area as well. Among Total Population of the World 60%, people live in the content Asia and rest of others in other 6 continents. So from this, you can easily think how big and how populated is Continent, Asia.

Top 10 Highest mountain in the world including Mount Everest are Situated in this Continent. (Especially in the Country Name Nepal which is located in the southern part of Asia.)

As Talking About river world, third longest river name Yangtze (6,211 km) is on Asia which flows through China.

The largest desert in Asia is the Gobi Desert which is 281,800 km2 in Measuring.

Altogether there are 6 regions in Asia; They are as follow:

Season and Region

Talking about Season, It is easy to understand If I Classified it according to the region. So I will do accordingly.

Asia is broadly divided into six regions as shown on the map right.

Northern Asia, Central Asia, Eastern Asia

1. In Summer – June, July, August

2. In Spring – March, April,

3. In Autumn – September, October, November

4. In Winter – December, January, February

Southern Asia, South-East Asia

1. In Summer – March, April, May

2. In Spring – December, January, February

3. In Autumn – June, July, August

4. In Winter – September, October, November

Climate

The climate in Asia is varies according to the different type of location and different physical geography. Altogetherly, there are total 8 different types of climate:

1. Deciduous forest : There are Four different types of seasons with warm type summers and cold, wet winter. The leaves of trees shed in autumn.

2. Coniferous forest : It is also known as Taiga, where dry and cold with snowy types of winters and warmer types of summers.

3. Alpine/mountain : Snowy, Cold and Windy. There is begining of winter from the month of October and ends in May and the temperature is below freezing point, while 

summer begins from the month of June to September where the temperature can reach 15°C as well.

4. Rainforest : There is High temperatures and rainfall throughout the all 12 months.

5. Desert : Warm to maximun high temperatures with a occasionally rainfall.

6. Tundra : layer name permafrost characyterized the area. As there is very cold in Winter, warm in warm and the rainfall is occasionally.

7. Grassland : summers are Hot and  winters are cold with rainfall which is above average.

8. Savanna : temperatures is very high in all 12 months of year and rain during the season of summer only.

There are total 53 countries in the Continent, Asia including Countries like Russia and Turkey which lies in both Continent i.e Europe and Asia and Taiwan which is a part 

of China but it is not officially recognised as a country by the United Nations as a country.

According to the population measurement held in 2005, almost 3,879,000,000 is the total population of Asia. Most populated regions of Asia are Southerm, Eastern, and 

south-east Asia while the last populated are  mountain, desert, and tundra regions.

Highest Populated country in the Asia are as follow:

1. China with over 1,384 million population

2. India with over 1,046 million population

3. Indonesia with over 227 million population

4. Bangladesh with over 133 million population

5. Japan with over 127 million population

MOst developed countries in term of Economic in Asia are China, India and Japan etc. most largely oil production nations in this Continent are Iraq, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
